Moral integrity and dignity

The Faculty of Natural Sciences of Comenius University pays close attention to interpersonal relationships and their potential for the development of academic activities, including cooperation. The university is, in its essence, a center of an intellectual community with high standards of academic integrity. Every top scientific and pedagogical institution values the relationship between students, teachers and researchers as a conditio sine qua non of an excellent creative environment. 

Within the framework of ethical principles, members of the academic community undertake to:

• communicate with dignity at all levels of academic life and create an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust and belonging; 
• respect the principles of collegiality and academic cooperation; 
• refrain from personal humiliation, immoral behavior and pressure.

The FNS carefully perceives the suggestions of the student survey in order to ensure a dignified environment for study and academic collegiality. However, it also monitors the behavior of students and, in the case of unacceptable moments, reacts in accordance with the law and within the framework of the Disciplinary Committee for Students
