Laboratory of asymmetric catalysis and green chemistry
The research of our laboratory at the Comenius University in Bratislava focuses on asymmetric catalysis and non-classical methods in organic synthesis. We develop new chiral metalocene ligands and organocatalysts for stereoselective reactions. Our group also studies relationship between catalyst structure and catalyzed reaction by experimental as well as computational methods. One of the main reasons of our research is sustainable chemistry. We try to improve effectiveness of asymmetric catalyzed reactions by using novel recyclable homogeneous supported catalysts, non-traditional reaction media or conditions or by combining several suitable reactions into a one-pot processes.
