The Department of Analytical Chemistry teaches and researches modern analytical methods, with a focus on bioanalysis and environmental analysis. Key subjects include separation and detection techniques such as liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, optical and electroanalytical methods, and chemometrics.The department also conducts research in promising areas like green analytical chemistry, miniaturized analytical systems (lab-on-a-chip), complex analytical methods, and the analysis of trace substances in intricate samples.

Instruction is provided at Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels, emphasizing the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Students are encouraged to undertake independent scientific work and participate in ongoing research projects. The study program further offers international mobility opportunities through schemes such as Erasmus+ and CEEPUS.
