Graduate Profile of the Chemistry Study Program

The Bachelor's degree program in Chemistry is a three-year program (or four years for the conversion track) that culminates in a state examination, including the defense of a Bachelor's thesis.

Graduates of Chemistry program are equipped to undertake technical roles in diverse chemical, environmental, and healthcare research and operational settings. They can analyze challenges and opportunities in these fields across both public and private sectors, especially in research and technology-driven environments.

Students acquire a strong theoretical and practical foundation in core chemical disciplines, including general, inorganic, analytical, physical, organic, and nuclear chemistry, as well as biochemistry. They also gain applicable knowledge in physics, mathematics, and biology. Furthermore, graduates become proficient in computing technology and its chemical applications, preparing them for careers in areas such as chemical informatics and patent processing.

Completion of this first-level degree provides the essential foundation for pursuing a Master's degree. This program is uniquely distinguished in Slovakia by its "Chemistry Eurobachelor" quality label, ensuring that its education is fully recognized and equivalent across major European universities.
